This is the fourth year that Lulu Frost has designed a collection for J. Crew and I think that the fourth time is a charm. Her whimsical, vintage inspired features are so lovely and are the perfect addition to any outfit.

J. Crew recently debuted their new wedding collection and while the wedding dresses are beautiful it is the bridesmaids dresses that really sparked my attention. With countless styles and colours to choose from these dresses are a great affordable option for maids. What’s even better is that with all the options brides can mix and match colours staying on trend with this season mismatched dresses and monochromatic shades.

Net-A-Porter and J. Crew two of my favorite online shops are offering something special this holiday season that takes gifting to a whole new level. Net-A-Porter has launched the Ultimate Shoe Subscription, where recipients receive an amazing shoe once a month for a year and (it’s only $10,000, nbd). While J. Crew is offering the Jewelry of the Month subscription, where lucky ladies receive a monthly handpicked statement piece delivered to their door (estimated cost, $850). Gifts that last all year long, yes please!

Yesterday I ended my long distance love affair with J. Crew when the company finally opened its doors here in Toronto. I was originally greeted by mixed feelings by the news that my go-to brand and secret fashion weapon would be available to the masses, and all I could envision was gaggles of girls in striped henley tee’s and bejeweled necklaces gallivanting around the city.
Any feelings of uncertainty that I had were quickly banished when I entered the sprawling 5000 ft women’s store in Yorkdale yesterday morning. It was pure euphoria when I saw the multicolor cashmere “shop”, the mini shoe and purse boutique, numerous jewellery cases and best of all bits and pieces from the brands coveted “Collection“. For those of you that are familiar with the brand, the store even has the red phone for speedy catalog shopping. While I feel like I have a bit less to look forward to when I go to the States (shopping wise) I am thrilled to have J. Crew here at home and excited to welcome my love to Toronto. We can now live happily ever after in lush cashmere crews and cropped Minnie pants without any duty taxes or shipping and handling. Visit J. Crew at Yorkdale Mall and see the greatness for yourself!
