It doesn’t get much better than this. A super sweet shower for the Queen of candy herself Dylan Lauren (Owner of Dylan’s Candy Bar), hosted by the Princess of paper and all things party Darcy Miller (Editor of Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine). I was lucky enough to receive an early copy of Martha Stewart Weddings Summer issue, which features this jaw dropping shower and all the details. Miller went all out in creating a colorful candy-land that was filled with personal touches for the bride to be.
Make sure to buy a copy of the magazine when it hits newsstands to see the enormous candy centerpiece featuring the couples initials, as well as a step by step guide to creating your own candy themed shower.
One of my favorite ideas is this precious candy bar wrapper, which was used as the actual shower invitation. The illustrations were all created by Darcy herself.
Guests were treated to lemon drop cocktails, french fries in personalized bags, as well as monochromatic jelly bean favors. Notes to the couple could be written on candy shaped note cards with personalized pencils.
